Three illustrated works on mathematics, engineering and surveying, consisting of Lipsius's wonderfully engraved manual on war machines, fortifications, and battle formations, Picard's treatise on how to correctly survey and measure the earth, with plates of his instruments, and Plumier's guide to shaping metal, ivory and wood using lathe work.
