2 vols., folio (430 x 305 mm). Text printed in double columns with chapter headings and shoulder notes in red, woodcut foliated initials and borders by W.M. Quick and George H. Ford after Louise Powell. Linen-backed patterned boards with printed spine labels; cloth, labels with some spotting. 


Limited to 225 copies on handmade Batchelor paper from an edition of 245


Printed with Hornby's new Ptolemy type, modelled after F. Holle of Ulm and used for the 1482 printing of Ptolemy's Georaphia.
