Arrivabeni Valenti Gonzaga family, Venice

The Arrivabeni Valenti Gonzaga are ancient noble family from Mantua in Lombardy. In the 19th century various members were involved in the Risorgimento and later served as Deputies and Senators in the Italian government. In 1922 the family inherited through marriage the 16th-century Palazzo Papadopoli on the Grand Canal, decorated with frescoes by Tiepolo in the 18th century, and now jointly occupied by the Aman Hotel and the family of Count Giberto Arrivabene Valenti Gozaga, a designer of Murano glassware.
