First edition, another copy. The binding can be attributed to the Soresini bindery, based on the stamps; see Legatura romana barocca 1575-1700, pages 32-33, tools g and p.


3 parts in one volume, 4to (209 x 145 mm). Roman and italic type, 39 lines plus headline. collation: a4 A-L8 M4 (last leaf blank): 96 leaves; A-F8: 48 leaves; A-C8 D4: 28 leaves. Engraved title-pages, woodcut initials, head- and tailpieces, engraved illustrations. 


binding: Contemporary Roman limp vellum gilt (208 x 156 mm), centre- and cornerpieces composed of smaller sphinx, caryatid and fish tools, flat spine gilt with manuscript lettering, foredge flaps, gilt edges, stubs from two pairs of silk ties. (Binding slightly rubbed, small repair to head of spine, small area of loss to one foredge.)
