RARE. Voss published the first edition of Quantz's celebrated treatise in 1752 in both German and French, which reflects the author's international approach to music. Apart from being the most important flute tutor of its day, Quantz's celebrated treatise has chapters dealing with orchestras, the duties of the orchestral leader, the differences between national musical styles, and ornamentation.
