By Sotheby's

Fashion designer Victoria Beckham is to host a mini exhibition of her favourite works from the upcoming London Old Masters sales on 4 and 5 July.

The paintings will be displayed at her Dover Street store in London alongside her pre-Autumn 2018 collection as part of Mayfair Art Weekend.

The designer told Vogue, “I always wanted my store to be an evolving space in which it was possible to showcase work from artists that I feel passionate about, so I am thrilled to partner with Sotheby’s on this project.

“It has been an absolute pleasure selecting the pieces and learning more about Old Masters while doing so.”

Victoria Beckham previously commissioned Turner Prize winner Martin Creed to create a work for her store in 2015 and she has also collaborated with the jeweller and sculptor Emily Young.

Speaking about the collaboration Sotheby’s Old Masters Paintings specialist Chloe Stead added: “We cannot wait to present some of the top lots from our forthcoming Old Masters auction in Victoria’s fantastically sleek and beautiful space on Dover Street. It’s been so exciting collaborating with such an internationally respected and admired designer and taste-maker, and we’ve had fun working together to select paintings for the show.”

The works will be exhibited in Victoria Beckham’s Dover Street store from 22-27 June.
