Sotheby’s Hong Kong is thrilled to partner with celebrated actor and tastemaker Chen Bolin, who lends his curatorial eye to our latest edition of Sotheby’s Contemporary Curated auction this July. Renowned for his starring roles in the popular film The Blue Door and the drama series In Time With You, Chen Bolin has maintained a passionate dedication to cinema and the arts, becoming a producer for several highly acclaimed projects.
Throughout his career as an actor, Chen Bolin has been able to channel the visions and emotions of his directors, connecting with the viewer through the screen. As a curator for Sotheby’s, Chen Bolin is taking up the role of active creator, transmitting his own unique vision and perspective through the artworks selected for this sale.
The July Auction will feature a selection of trailblazing artists and established names, including Mark Grotjahn, Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol, Ding Yi and Yoshitomo Nara, as well as innovative new creatives at the forefront of contemporary art, such as Javier Calleja, Kei Imazu, Tomokazu Matsuyama, Yukimasa Ida and Miwa Komatsu.
