Great Collectors: The (Art) World According to Hubert Neumann

New York | 16-18 May

Collecting has been a part of Hubert Neumann’s life as long as he can remember, starting off with quintessential classics such as baseball cards and matchbooks. But when Neumann observed his father’s fascination with the masters of impressionism, he too, took an interest in art. It has always been the art that transcends Hubert’s understanding which he is gravitated towards. Neumann says, “When you commit to love something, you have that love for the rest of your life”. For Hubert Neumann, that love is art.

In addition, two works from the Neumann Family Collection will be offered in the New York Sales this May. The first, Pablo Picasso's Deux nus, a work on paper from 1962, which will be included in our Modern Evening Auction. The second, Christopher Wool's Untitled, one of Wool's pattern paintings on aluminum from 1988 which will be included in our Contemporary Evening Auction.
