Sotheby's is pleased to present the large-scale solo exhibition Zhang Daqian: The Master, which opened this weekend, beginning with a preview cocktail reception supported by HSBC Private Banking on 11 October. At the SI2 Gallery in Hong Kong, Sotheby’s Kevin Ching and HSBC Private Banking Ivan Wong welcomed guests who came out to show their support at the intimate cocktail reception. Co-organised by the Xi Zhi Tang Gallery, the exhibition celebrates the 120th anniversary of Zhang Daqian’s birthday and will feature nearly 60 major works from the master’s oeuvre, with an emphasis on splashed ink paintings. Guests previewed the gathered paintings, many of which have been featured in major exhibitions and some of which have never before been seen in public. Zhang Daqian: The Master will be held through 9 November.
