A select group of collectors and art lovers was among the first to see the much-anticipated 2017 Whitney Biennial the night of 13 March at a special viewing hosted by Sotheby’s Contemporary Art specialists Charlie Moffett and Saara Pritchard. Following cocktails in the lobby, the Whitney’s Emily Sufrin led a tour of the exhibition, discussing such works as a room-like structure featuring thousands of actual slices of bologna by William Pope.L and Sarama Golden’s space-distorting installation using mirrors and the museum’s windows.
