George Swanson (1908-1968) accompanied Beebe on several of his expeditions, capturing the brilliance and beauty of the wildlife they discovered on their expeditions. The works detail expeditions to the jungles and beaches of South America, as well as the Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea.

The sale comprises of Chinese objects for the scholar’s studio: bamboo root carvings, soapstone, brush pots and water droppers.
