Ahead of the sale of his political cartoon collection, former MP and bestselling author Jeffrey Archer was in conversation with illustration gallerist Chris Beetles. The fascinating talk covered the two centuries of politics that were represented in his comprehensive collection, which went on to sell for £571,318. Meanwhile, in New Delhi guests had the opportunity to preview works from the upcoming Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art sale (19 March, New York) at a special dinner at the French Embassy and a cocktail event at the Oberoi Hotel in New Delhi with entertainment from Smiti & Adhir who performed highlights from The Great American Songbook.
