  This bracelet is an art deco work of art. The pierced and carved round jadeite disks contrast against the dark blue enamel and diamond square plaques. It takes the angular industrial design of early art deco and adds the more naturalistic themes seen at the dawn of the 30's to create a jewel that is powerful and delicate at the same time.

  Superb fancy intense purplish pink diamond ring, Piaget. Estimate CHF8,030,000–12,040,000.

  From the moment I first laid eyes on this rare gem, I was entranced by its beauty. Depending on the light, the colour ranges from striking pink to a rich and brilliant purplish-pink. Its modified old cut with an open culet gives the stone buckets of charm. Originally the stone was cut around the turn of the century and because South Africa was not yet producing many if any pinks at all, it is very possible this stone was sourced from India which makes it even more desirable.

  'The Star of Sierra Leone Diamond Brooch', Harry Winston. Estimate CHF290,000–350,000.

  The star of Sierra Leone rough was purchased by Harry Winston in 1972 and originally a very large 140 ct diamond was to be cut from it. Due to its impurities, Mr. Winston decided to cut them out to produce a series of smaller stones of high colour and clarity resulting in the six central marquise diamonds in this brooch. It is an elegant brooch combined with stones cut from a historic rough making this a very collectible jewel.
