RM Sotheby’s has topped Monterey yet again, generating $133 million in sales and selling 88% of all automobiles offered during the two-day auction. Part of a grouping of absolutely stunning competition Aston Martins, the 1956 Aston Martin DBR1/1 crossed the block to achieve $22,550,000, setting a world record for any British automobile sold at auction. The second night was led by the Ferrari Performance Collection, a single-owner group made up of thirteen iconic Ferraris, spanning 50 years of the marque’s heritage, which brought a total of more than $16.5 million.
