In 1962, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts launched the Vera List Art Project under the patronage of philanthropist and art collector, Vera List. List decided to commission the world's premiere artists to create limited-edition prints in recognition of Lincoln Center's greatest milestones and events. These prints have been sold to benefit the institution’s innovative cultural programming and arts education. Lincoln Center Editions, a component of the Vera List Art Project continues to commission artists to this day. Sotheby's Prints & Multiples auction features more than 70 of these visionary works, which span five decades of production. Click ahead to view ten that caught our specialists' eyes.
