RM Sotheby’s 2018 Monterey auction achieved a record-setting $158 million in its two-day series. Long considered to be the “holy grail” of the collector car world, the 1962 Ferrari 250 GTO by Scaglietti sold for $48,405,000, surpassing the previous record for the most valuable car sold at auction by more than $10 million.
