he galleries at Sotheby’s New York headquarters are full! With The New York Sales — presented in partnership with CELINE — going to auction next week, masterpieces of modern and contemporary art are exhibited alongside rare and iconic works from The Macklowe Collection. Beyond that, works of art reaching back centuries are installed throughout the building — including highlights of American art, splendid works from the Belle Époque, Master Paintings by the likes of Pieter Brueghel the Younger and a century-spanning survey of Aboriginal Art.
