More than 300 people attended the Friday evening cocktail event at Geneva’s Mandarin Oriental hotel.
Ahead of Sotheby’s inaugural sales of Important Watches and Magnificent Jewels and Noble Jewels at the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Geneva this week, guests were invited along for a weekend of events to celebrate the new selling location. Friday evening saw 300 people gather to enjoy cocktails and live music among highlights from the jewellery, watches and Swiss Art sales and guests continued to flock over the weekend to view stunning lots that included ‘The Apollo and Artemis Diamonds’ which went on to sell for US$57,425,478 / CHF 57,118,750, making them the most expensive pair of earrings ever sold at auction. The events came weeks before the inaugural Fine Jewels sale in Geneva, which will be held at the new Geneva office 2, Rue François-Diday 1204 on 1 June.
