Starting with the Past/Forward sale, we present an important private collection spanning almost a century of art. Collectors will have the opportunity to acquire outstanding works by artists ranging from Pablo Picasso to Pierre Soulages, by way of Jean Dubuffet and Yves Tanguy.
Sotheby’s Modernités sale meanwhile, will present masterpieces by Kurt Schwitters, Nicolas de Staël, Wou-Ki, Rembrandt Bugatti, Alberto Giacometti and Francis Picabia. Other sale crescendos will include superb Surrealist pieces by René Magritte and Paul Delvaux alongside Hallucinations, a sale comprised of a private American collection with works by Max Ernst, Wassily Kandinsky and Alexander Calder. Additionally, the Art Impressionniste & Moderne day sale will entice collectors with numerous portraits and still lifes by masters such as Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Marc Chagall and Odilon Redon.
Finally, we invite you to Modern & Contemporary Masters which as well as including a dynamic range of works, will offer a sneak peek inside Sotheby's Paris’s beautiful new premises, at 27 Avenue Matignon.
