F ree Arts NYC empowers underserved youth through arts and mentoring programs to develop their creativity, confidence, and skills to succeed.
The Free Arts NYC 22nd Annual Art Auction Summer in September will launch on sothebys.com and be on view at Room57 Gallery from September 17th-24th. This year’s auction celebrates the youthfulness of summer and the promise of creativity. Proceeds from the artwork sales will provide critical resources for Free Arts NYC, helping them to continue to support over 2,000 diverse children and teens annually.
At a time when critical resources are being stripped from communities, art is the inspiring outlet that helps children cope with challenging circumstances. For years, Free Arts NYC has worked to level the playing field with their high-quality arts programming through partnerships with 25+ schools, community centers, and transitional housing facilities in underrepresented communities.
As the school year begins, Free Arts will continue to provide art supplies and programming for elementary age children and the Teen Arts Program will include paid internships at creative companies, digital literacy workshops, artist studio visits, and support for art school applications and portfolio development.
