Mortlach 25 Year Old 52.4 abv 1995 (1 bt 70cl & 1 bt 2cl)

Distilled in 1995, bottled on 19th January 2021, one of 454 bottles, taken from a single very special 1995 Pedro Ximenez & Oloroso seasoned European Oak butt. This 25 year old known as ‘The Lone Wolf’ (for standing out from the pack) tames the meaty, robust strength of Mortlach with exceptionally complex and rich flavours.

Auchroisk 47 Year Old 48.7 abv 1974 (1 bt 70cl & 1 bt 2cl)

Distilled on 15^th January 1974, bottled on 26th January 2021, one of 382 bottles, single refill European oak butt. This liquid is from the very first cask to be filled at Auchroisk when distilling began on 15th January 1974. Kept back for many years for its character and its rarity, the spirit is remarkably rich and spicy, with fruity aromas and smooth flavours.

Lagavulin 28 Year Old 47.7 abv 1992 (1 bt 70cl & 1 bt 2cl)

Distilled in 1992, bottled on 20th January 2021, one of 1,081 bottles, 5 freshly charred American oak hogsheads, the first of its kind from a small experimental batch matured entirely on Islay, which makes this a very rare Lagavulin. Time has mellowed the smoky nature of this spirit making it elegantly rounded and smooth in texture.

Linkwood 39 Year Old 52.9 abv 1981 (1 bt 70cl & 1 bt 2cl)

Distilled in 1981, bottled on 25th January 2021, one of 701 bottles, 4 new American oak casks which were PX & Oloroso seasoned as part of the first pioneering trial exploring different maturation processes at the distillery. This expression gives the liquid an incredible depth, imparting rich flavours and aromas that come from a PX & Oloroso-seasoned cask.

The Singleton of Glendullan 28 Year Old 60.1 abv 1992 (1 bt 70cl & 1 bt 2cl)

Distilled in 1992, bottled on 19th January 2021, one of 420 bottles, double matured in 2 Madeira casks for 14 years, this is one of the most extraordinary maturations from The Singleton. Initially kept in refill wood, before double-maturing in two small ex-Madeira barriques for another 14 year, which was part of a one-off trial at Singleton. The result is a sweet richness which complements the light and elegant distillery character.

Talisker 41 Year Old 47.5 abv 1979 (1 bt 70cl & 1 bt 2cl)

Distilled in 1979, bottled on 26th January 2021, one of 556 bottles, selected from the last four 1979 refill American Oak hogsheads that spent their time in the storm lashed warehouse, No.4, Talisker’s closet chamber to the Atlantic Ocean. The liquid within the bottle is supremely rugged, smooth and muscular.

Brora 40 Year Old 49.4 abv 1980 (1 bt 70cl & 1 bt 2cl)

Distilled in 1980, bottled on 18th January 2021, one of 505 bottles, this is one of the very last of the 1980 casks distilled during the golden age of peated Brora, which was stored separately for safe keeping and reunited for this final 1980 release. A fitting tribute to a great legacy which has been aged in American oak for 40 years, creating a fragrant smokiness which lingers in the long and warming finish.

Convalmore Year Old 48.6 abv 1984 (1 bt 70cl & 1 bt 2cl)

Distilled in 1984, bottled on 25th January 2021, one of 647 bottles, taken from three American Oak hogsheads filled on Thursday 22nd November 1984, a matter of months before the distillery closed forever. A fine farewell, very little of the malt remains, which harnesses the golden, smooth character and rich fruitiness of Convalmore.
