François de Rochechouart de Mortemart, Prince of Tonnay-Charente (1909-1938);

His son, Louis-Victor de Rochechouart, Marquis of Mortemart (1909-1938);

His son, Charles-Louis de Rochechouart, Count of Mortemart (1933-2021);

Collection of the Rochechouart de Mortemart Family.

Son of Henri de Rochechouart and Marie-Louise-Agnès Borghèse-Aldobrandini, François de Rochechouart was born on 1 December 1832. Duc de Mortemart, Prince de Tonnay-Charente and a Grandee of Spain, he was also made a Knight of the Order of St John of Jerusalem. He repurchased the family estates at Mortemart and Tonnay-Charente, which had previously been confiscated by Revolutionary decree. He married his cousin, Virginie-Marie-Louise de Sainte-Adegonde, daughter of Comte Edmond-Albert de Sainte-Adegonde and Alice de Rochechouart de Mortemart. François died in Paris on 22 May 1893.
