Led by two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo, alongside All-Star guard Khris Middleton and veteran floor general Jrue Holiday, the Bucks finished the 2020–21 regular season with a 46–26 record, securing the third seed in the Eastern Conference. Antetokounmpo’s historic postseason performance was capped by a 50-point masterpiece in the decisive Game 6 of the NBA Finals, earning him Finals MVP honors.
In the playoffs, Milwaukee defeated the Miami Heat, Brooklyn Nets, and Atlanta Hawks to capture the Eastern Conference crown before overcoming the Phoenix Suns in six games to secure the franchise’s first NBA championship in 50 years.
The 2021 title marked the Bucks’ second championship in franchise history and cemented the team’s place among the NBA’s elite, delivering a long-awaited triumph to the city of Milwaukee and its devoted fan base.
