Julius Erving, known to generations of fans as “Dr. J,” was one of the most electrifying and influential players in basketball history. Before becoming a Philadelphia 76er, Erving had already built a legendary reputation in the ABA, where his combination of scoring, athleticism, and creativity helped turn him into one of the sport’s true superstars.
