replaced 5-inch dial with winged cherub spandrels, matted centre, date aperture, the fusee movement with five latched, knopped and ringed pillars, verge escapement, numbered outside count wheel striking on a bell, the backplate with engraved border, set-up ratchets and signed Henry Jones in ye Temple, the extensively restored case with domed cresting, gilt-brass handle and giltmounts, later veneered with finely cut oysters and with ebonised mouldings,
