End Piece of the Seminole (f) Meteorite

THE MAIN MASS OF A STRIKING TEXAS CHONDRITE

This handsome chondritic specimen is the main mass and one of the end pieces of the Seminole (f) meteorite, originally a single 5,421 gram stone found by a rancher and distinguished by a plow mark that the rancher accidentally made when he found the stone. The exterior surface is covered in regmaglypts and flow lines and has a rich, brown weathering patina that contrasts beautifully with the dark black interior festooned with highly reflective, silver chondrules. Gives that this is the 3,364 gram main mass of a meteorite with such a low total known weight, it is an extreme rarity that will never be commonly available.
