oval, the lid set with an oval enamel plaque of an amorous couple in landscape, the lady holding a cherry above her ear, in a split pearl frame, on a translucent dark blue enamel ground over wavy engine-turning, bordered with gold zig zag paillons and further white and blue frame, the matching enamel panels to sides divided by classical vases on pedestals, the base centred with a paillon vase hung from rose swags and leafy scrolls, maker's mark,
