rectangular, the lid chased with two female figures playing the mandolin or holding a spool, seated on chased scrolls, engraved with classical architecture in the background, the sides similarly decorated with bold scrolls interspersed with floral sprays, the base with a male flute and female musician, crossed keys town mark, French post-1918 eagle head control mark for 18 ct gold,
