oval, the lid later applied with an oval enamel miniature of a young lady reading a love letter, a turtle dove in front of her, on an unusual dark blue enamel ground over wavy engine-turning, decorated with white and gold lozenge paillons forming stylised flowerheads, interspersed with Maltese crosses, within chased gold borders highlighted with green enamel leaves and white quatrefoils on a sablé ground, the sides and base decorated to match, maker's mark crowned IF incuse, '15' struck twice,
