oval, the lid centered with an oval cornflower blue enamel plaque set with a gold profile of Aristotle chased in high relief, later gold bezel, on a concentric engine-turned gold ground, the sides further decorated with engraved urn dividers, the base decorated to match, maker's mark FF, Hanau rosette mark, date letter y, Hanau shell control mark for 18 ct gold,
