rectangular with cut-corners, all sides decorated with pale opalescent enamel with raspberry-coloured pellets over bands of heart-shaped engine-turning, within white bead and blue quatrefoil enamel borders, the angles with brightly coloured columns, French prestige marks including maker’s mark for Jean-Joseph Barriere, charge and discharge marks of Henri Clavel (1780-1782), Paris date letter R, the right rim numbered 2129, French post 1918 eagle’s head control marks for 18 carat gold
