Description

the plain gold example of slightly tapering form with high relief beaded decoration around the sides and borders, surrounding the horizontal line and roundel engine-turned body and lid, in an associated velvet-lined shagreen case, first set of charge and discharge marks for Henri Clavel, 1780-82, maker's mark GA, date letter t for 1782/83

the second example of oval cross section with white pearl enamel cartouches centred with rosettes and the monogram PA, framed with green foliate borders, with French hibou mark only
