Introduced in 2010, the Rolex Submariner ref. 116610 replaced the iconic ref. 16610 featuring certain upgrades. While maintaining the same design language as the previous model, the most noticeable update was the implementation of the Cerachrom bezel insert which replaced the metallic insert. The new material is scratch resistant and created for longevity. The new bracelet included the Glidelock clasp extension, an ingenious function which allows the wearer to adjust the length of the bracelet up to 20mm with ease.
This reference was discontinued in 2020, which makes the present model, in as new, stickered condition a truly rare find.
