The Estate of Virginia Kraft Payson

The figural stem of these candlesticks is based on a 1747 model by Ernest Sieber (overstriking the mark of Lewis Pantin) which is illustrated in Arthur Grimwade, Rococo Silver: 1727-1765, 1974, pl. 75A.


A pair of this same model made by William Homer, Dublin circa 1760 were sold Christie's, New York, October 26, 2007, lot 246.
