Produced for only 5 years between 1969 and 1974, the reference 3579 exemplifies the bold and inventive design of its era. With its distinctive cushion-shaped case, expertly balancing polished and brushed finishes, it represents a striking departure from Patek Philippe’s more traditional designs. Though unconfirmed, it is likely that these pieces were made predominantly for the Japanese market, with only 150 to 200 ever produced. This reference was available either with a silvered or a blue dial. Less than 15 examples with a silver dial, like the present lot, have resurfaced on the international market, making this appearance an exceptional opportunity.
What truly sets the ref. 3579 apart is its exclusive use of stainless steel, a material rarely used by the Manufacture, adding to its allure and rarity. Its durability and versatility further enhance its appeal. The present example is attractive condition, making it a rare and sought-after collector's piece.
