grey cut-out floral patterns laid out on a black paper background and heightened with a gold calligraphic inscription within a pear-shaped outline and a rectangular border with a plant in the lower right corner, signed in the lower left corner

A closely related découpage calligraphy in the form of a pear and signed by the artist Suleyman is in the Khalili Collection, London (inv. no.CAL105, published in Rogers 1995, cat. no.190, p.267). Another découpage work signed by Suleyman and dated 1280 AH/1863-64 AD is in the David Collection, Copenhagen (inv. no.21/1974).
