Arabic manuscript on paper, 12 lines to the page, written in thuluth and naskh in black ink, the top 4 lines within cloud bands against a gold ground punched with cintamani motifs, side panels of rococo foliate motifs, borders of scrollwork and scrolling flowers, framed
29.5 by 23cm.
The present ijazeh was given to Muhammad 'Arif al-Shawki, and signed by his tutor Mahmud al-Nouri, as well as 'Ali al-Ramzi, Muhammad Sa'id Taba'i, Khalil al-Halimi, Ahmed al-Zihni, Ahmed al-Nouri, Ahmed al-Rushdi, 'Arif 'izzati, Hasan al-Wasfi, Mustafa al-Rasimi, Hafiz Sharif, Hafiz Sa'id, Ibrahim al-Khulusi, Mehmed al-Salim, Hafiz al-Shukri and Ahmed al-Rushdi al-Khulusi.
