folio (320 x 208mm.), title with woodcut printer's device and within woodcut border, woodcut initials, woodcut device on final verso (otherwise blank), contemporary blind-tooled calf over pasteboard, stubs of four pairs of ties, lacking a2 (preface of Heresbach to Johann Flatten) and b1 (preface of Gemusaeus to Jacob Truchses), old inscriptions on title-page crossed through, binding rebacked and repaired


The Latin translation of Strabo is by Guarino and Gregorio Tifernate, prefaced by the Latin epitome of Strabo by Hieronymus Gemusaeus, which is printed here for the first time.
