THE FIRST COMPLETE SPANISH TRANSLATION OF THE ODYSSEY, composed by Gonzalo Pérez, Secretary in the service of Charles V and Philip II. The first thirteen books were printed in 1550 in Salamanca, and this is the first edition of his completed text. This respected translation was the prime vehicle for knowledge of Homer during Spain's Golden Age.
