Agnieszka Kotarska was born in 1984, in a small town in Poland, surrounded by forests and rivers. She grew up in the environment of nature and showed an interest in art from an early age. After graduating in Spanish Philology in Łódź, she decided to move to Spain (first to Barcelona, and then to Alicante, where she currently lives and works). Although self-taught, in recent years she has studied with renowned contemporary artists, including Emanuele Dascanio, whom she considers the master who has marked her current artistic technique, hyperrealism, in which graphite and charcoal have become her main medium. She has participated in numerous national and international competitions and exhibitions.
Kotarska has always embraced the technical qualities of figurative realism, creating works that are a blend of fantasy, symbolism, and mystery. Metaphysics, the transcendental world, and spirituality are the themes that have caught her attention since she was a child and that can be seen reflected in her works of art. The constant search for new knowledge and a passion for traveling made her make countless trips to different continents.
“Knowing so many cultures helped me understand that despite human diversity, we all have something in common, our true inner nature. I believe that human beings should discover their infinite potential to connect with their wonderful inner world and understand that despite external differences, deep down we are all one."
