This painting was the Third Place Winner of the Teens Category in the 16th International ARC Salon Competition. The Teens Category is a special category for young artists between 13 and 19 years of age. Hailey was 15- years-old when she created this work.

“I told my parents that I wanted to be an artist when I was six years old. They always supported my desire; however I only became serious about two years ago. Luckily for me, my father, Kevin Murphy, is a professional painter and has been guiding me since I originally expressed my interest. I've just finished my sophomore year in high school, and I am looking forward to graduating so that I can paint full time.”
