EXTRA ILLUSTRATED WITH PLATES FROM BUFFON, 16 volumes, 4to (255 x 195mm.), coloured vignette titles, 142 plates from Latham, 965 plates from Buffon, 1107 plates in total, all coloured by hand, contemporary diced russia gilt, single and triple fillets on covers, spine gilt in compartments, gilt edges, joints rubbed, one cover detached


An unusual copy of Latham, extra-illustrated with plates from the Martinet edition of Buffon. With the two supplements and two volumes of the Index ornithologicus.
