Angular Vessel

impressed with the Artist's seal (on the underside)

stoneware with black burnish

height: 12cm.; 4¾in.; diameter: 10cm.; 4in.

Executed circa early 1960s.

There is damage and extremely sensitively executed restoration to the rim.

There are a couple of light scuffs visible to the surface of the body of the vessel. A couple of tiny instances of very light pitting to the glaze, in keeping with the nature of the Artist’s materials.

Inspection under ultraviolet light confirms the aforementioned restoration.
