Gérald Genta

This design shows how Gérald Genta enjoyed playing with a theme when designing his creations. Here, the golf club indicates the retrograde minutes. It is located on the putting green, next to the flag. The artist chose another shade of green to represent the rough where the round aperture for the jump hour represents the golf ball resting on a tee. There is a bunker on each side of the face to balance the composition. In the design again, Genta goes beyond decorating the dial and uses the entire watch to express the sporty theme. The case, the bracelet for the example on the left and the buckle on the example on the right are inspired by the gold ball, showing how Genta cleverly designed the piece to copy the color and texture.
