in the Louis XIV manner, of breakfront form, the brèche violette marble top above a cupboard door with a pierced ribbon-tied cartouche with a seated figure of Urania, opening to reveal one adjustable shelf, the canted angles headed by winged female caryatids and terminating in lion-paws, on capped toupie feet
