Launched in 2012, The Black Bay collection has become Tudor's best-selling and most sought after range thanks to its combination of vintage aesthetics and modernity. Drawing inspiration from its Tudor Oyster Prince Submariner ref. 7922, which first launched in 1954, the present reference will attract those interested in vintage design with a preference for more contemporary pieces.
The Royalty and specialist protection unit are an elite wing of the British police charged with guarding members of parliament and the Royal family. In 2018 Tudor collaborated with the unit to offer 75 watches to its members, each watch features the RaSP logo of an English rose with a crown resting above at six o’clock.
Coming directly from a serving member of the RaSP, the offered lot provides a great opportunity to begin a collection with a unique and rare piece, seen only in a handful of auctions before.
