• Movement: unusual nickel 1/2 plate engraved Patented Sept 1859, lever escapement, jewelled to the centre, bi-metallic compensation balance, blued steel helical spring, ruby endstone, regulation index pointing to broad scale on mainplate, signed Auguste Saltzman, Chaux-de-Fonds, Extra Fine Straight Line Lever
• Dial: white enamel, Roman numerals, recessed subsidiary seconds, outer minute ring, gold hands with blued tips, signed Auguste Saltzman
• Case: 18ct gold, engine-turned covers (now largely polished), gold cuvette signed and numbered Auguste Saltzman, Chaux-de-Fonds, No. 29138 and with apertures for winding and hand-setting, covers and cuvette numbered 29138
