The octagonal body engraved with panels of scrollwork between guilloche and ovolo bands, the cover with bayonet fittings and pierced with foliate decoration, crested,

24cm., 9 ½in. high

734gr., 23 ½oz.

Marked with maker's mark three times inside the cover, 1726-32 discharge mark on the foot rim, maker's mark four times inside the body and two further marks here, one possibly the 1727 date letter. The cartouche on the body is erased and engraved with a later crest and monogram, probably English. There is a discreet repair to one of the corners on the body. The finial has been resoldered onto the body. Numerous solder repairs to the piercing on the cover.
