the deep rounded sides rising from a short straight foot to an everted rim, painted to the interior with a medallion enclosing the character shan, the exterior with four Buddhist deities each seated on a lotus and divided by four large characters Amituofo, which may be translated as Amitabha, the base inscribed with the six-character mark in underglaze-blue
Diameter 14.5 cm, 5¾ in.
The bowl is in very good condition with some very light surface wear.
