8vo (147 x 89mm.), woodcut device on title-page, folding engraved map of Britain, full-page engraved maps (some cut close at fore-edge), folding engraved map of Yorkshire, near-contemporary calf, blue edges, binding slightly rubbed


An uncommon pocket edition of Camden's Britannia, with maps printed from the plates made by Pieter van den Keere from 1599 onwards. Keere's maps were based on Saxton, Ortelius and Boazio.
